A limited edition, first release Calvados style Apple Brandy. The apple spirit is double distilled from Huon Valley, orchard grown sturmer pippin apples, in Lark’s 500 litre copper pot still, then put down to mature in a lightly toasted, 100 litre oak cask .
The result is a truly Tasmanian spirit a; loving marriage of crisp, fresh apples, coupled with notes of cinnamon and orange blossom.
To produce this premium Calvados style Apple Brandy, Lark Distillery produced a fermented cider from pressed Huon Valley apples, which was then double distilled in Larks copper pot still This produces a soft and vibrant spirit, while still retaining a crisp, fresh flavour of apples. This apple spirit is quietly matured in an oak cask, and when at its peak maturity it is decanted, and bottled without chill filtering.
