As the holders of Tasmania’s first General Distiller’s Licence since 1839,  Lark Distillery would love to share with you their experience in the production of Tasmanian malt whisky and their other unique Tasmanian spirits.

                        

Whisky Tastings

Ask at the bar for a sampling of the Lark Distillery whisky and other spirits, and hear about their production from the experienced staff. You can also enjoy a dram of a rare and unusual Scottish single malt whisky from their extensive range.     

 

Cellar Door

Guided Tasting Tour

For the conoisseur, the interested, and the novice. Operating from our Cellar Door, see how our world class barley, Tasmanian highland peat, pure soft water, and toasted second run barrels combine to create a rich, malty, vibrant single malt.  Learn about the art of copper pot distilations and taste our whisky spirit at various stages of production as well as other Lark spirits.  Tours run daily Mondays to Saturdays at 11.30am and 2.30pm.  Cost is $15.  For bookings or info please contact us.

Tasmanian Whisky Experience our

A world first! You will be involved in all aspects of malt whisky production, from digging the peat at the Lark Distillery Brown Marsh Bog to brewing and distilling the whisky spirit. You will visit their cooperage, and select the wood type from which your barrel will be made. At the end of the tour, you will take home your very own 20 litre barrel of Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky, which you have made. More info.....

 

 

Whisky bar with live music

Soak up the atmosphere in the Lark Whisky Bar with its huge range of spirits on offer. There’s live music on Friday evenings, showcasing Hobarts best bluegrass, ragabilly and folk bands.  Catch Hobarts local original artists on Saturday 6th February in "Another Saturday Night".

Coffee and food

Sit down relax and try Hobart’s best coffee or perhaps a ploughman’ lunch or devine cheese platter made with superb local cheeses.  We offer a great selection of coffees, snacks and lunches and cocktails with a Larkish flair!
